“Shina” is a traditional type guest house built of stones. The house has a large balcony with a magnificent view of impressive landscapes, including the beautiful castle-town of Keselo. The ground floor has a slate and wood-lined lounge and dining room decorated with local handicrafts. There is also a traditional mid-fire.

3. Grandma Qeto in Dartlo
If you are traveling to Tusheti you will most likely go to Dartlo and there go to stay at Qeto’s guesthouse. Qeto is a very wise, nice, joyful and sweet grandma always happy to welcome guests and teach how too cook traditional dishes.
Also remember that Qeto has some very interesting stories about Tusheti, traditions, culture, people and life in general, and so if you manage to chat with her, you will hear many interesting and amazing stories from her.
4. “Posholi” after you cross the river

5. Mirgvela at the crossroad of Gometsari and Pirikita Alazani gorge
“Mirgvela” is built on a hill 3.5 km from Zemo Omalo and overlooks the beautiful nature. There are several wooden cottages in the huge yard, and for relaxing and entertainment there are hammocks, wooden tables and chairs, table tennis and wooden swings. There is also a campsite nearby.
From the yard you can see the highest village in Europe Bochorna, Gometsri gorge, Keselo castle, Khakhabo mountain.
If you are going to hike or make a horseback riding tour from Tusheti to Khevsureti, village Girevi will be your last stop in Tusheti. Here, guesthouse “Nakudurta” is the one you will like a lot. Nakudurta is a small family hotel with comfortable rooms, a beautiful yard and, of course, traditional Tushetian cuisine.
You will have to cross the border point in Girevi to register on the Khevsureti road and do not forget that, otherwise you may stopped on the road and asked to return for the papers.
7. Daro’s food in Your Home
Next to a small church in Shenako, you will find a cozy nice guesthouse “Your Home” and meet the wonderful host Daro. Everything is great here, but Daro’s culinary skills are something else!
You will hear legends about Daro dishes all over Tusheti and assure us that as you taste them, you will understand why. Her skills in the kitchen are endless and it does not matter if it has the most expensive ingredients, or just a few vegetables, the dishes still turn out to be the most delicious with such combinations that you could not have even imagined before.
In the dining room you will find a plate of The Lumineers album Cleopatra on the wall, with their signature. You can only ask Daro how it appeared there.
8. Herbal tea Usharo
Tushetian herbal tea “Usharo” is a family business, and a small family hotel with the same name in Shenako.
Usharo has 5 types of tea made with traditional Tushetian methods: Bektondari, Krazana, Deka, Chamomile and Tavshava. Every tea has its unique properties and is good for health, and we would even add that it simply makes you feel so much better and brings peace of mind. The herbs are picked by hand from the slopes of Tusheti mountains every morning. As the owners of the brand say, they appreciate what nature gives them, they treat the herbs with love and respect. And probably this is also why their tea is so special.
