Tusheti – historical-geographical part of Georgia. Tusheti is located across the main ridge of the Caucasus, on its northern slope. Tusheti is bordered by Dagestan to the east, Pshavi and Khevsureti to the west, Chechnya to the north, and Kakheti to the south. According to the current administrative division, the whole territory of Tusheti is part of Akhmeta municipality and includes several villages. The village of Omalo is considered to be the center of Tusheti. Included in the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List.
